The Peoria Metro Region is working hard to bring more jobs to the area.  More than 50 people attended the “Development and Incentives for Today’s Economy” Workshop on Friday (June18^th) hosted by the Economic Development Council for Central Illinois and its Retail Strategy Group.

Five development professionals from all around the Midwest shared experiences and information regarding incentives, development trends, business attraction tools and other topics concerning economic development.   The half-day workshop was held at Five Points Washington.  Representatives from Eureka, Morton, Minonk, East Peoria, Delevan, Peoria, Pekin, West Peoria, Washington, Bartonville, Dunlap were in attendance as were numerous regional business leaders to learn how to attract more jobs to the region.
